Social Media
Sometimes public relations is an effort to influence the public. One of the effective and efficient way is by using the social media.`Social media technologies take on many different forms including magazines, Internet forums, weblogs, social blogs, microblogging, wikis, social networks, podcasts, photographs or pictures, video, rating and social bookmarking. The main increase in social media has been Facebook. It was ranked as the number one social networking site. The age of communications and digital relationships between brands, the media and consumers has changed faster and in ways few could have anticipated.
Therefore facebook is one of the good way to promote CSV . Just visit the facebook of CSV http://www.facebook.com/CsvManchester
My Cozy Working Place

I have a cozy work chair, proportional desk, good lighting from the window, fresh air and laptop. Although my home in Manchester is far from the office but I can enjoy my internship because of my cozy working place.(^_^)b
This is my working space
"The Promotion" Projects
In my very first time I had an interview with three staffs from CSV. Then, Sandra as a media projects coordinator gave the introduction about CSV and Georgia explained about my jobs. In here I have projects to promote CSV, it's related to what I studied in my university. I'm a public relations student which is the practice of managing the flow of information or communication between the organisation and its publics.
Every organisation, no matter how large or small, ultimately depends on its reputation for survival and success. The reputation can be a company or organisation's biggest asset.Effective PR can help manage reputation by communicating and building good relationships with all organisation stakeholders.
In CSV, my job is how to promote CSV to the public by using the social media, for instance the facebook and a blog like this. So, I have to give the information about CSV and make mutual understanding between CSV and its public. This is a two-way process. To be effective, the organisation needs to listen to the opinions of those with whom it deals and not solely provide information. Issuing a barrage of propaganda is not enough in today's open society.

CSV, Improve Human Quality of Life
I've been volunteering my time here and I can bring many things to share when I back to my country, Indonesia. In CSV I've learnt that everyone has the right to be an active citizen and to contribute to their community. Moreover, I'm really impressed with the totality of the staffs in CSV Learning Manchester, they are absolutely credible and professional. FYI,CSV works with over 150,000 volunteers and 5,000 learners every year. They are supported CSV staff in offices throughout the UK.Volunteering with CSV enables people of all ages and backgrounds reap the benefits of putting something back. But do you know what volunteering is? According to wikipedia.org , volunteering is generally considered an altruistic activity, intended to promote good or improve human quality of life. It is considered as serving the society through own interest, personal skills or learning, which in return produces a feeling of self-worth and respect, instead of money. Volunteering is also famous for skill development, to socialize and to have fun. It is also intended to make contacts for possible employment or for a variety of other reasons. The programmes in CSV help empower disabled people to lead independent lives, offer security and stability to families and children at risk of neglect, help young people find their direction in life and enable older people to share knowledge and experience across generations. And through CSV learning and training facilities, thousands of young people and adults develop new skills, build their confidence and improve their job prospects. In addition, CSV has over 30 years experience in training young people and adults who are looking for new skills and qualifications and helping unemployed people back into work. So, CSV could be one of your door to improve the quality of your life! It's my great internship experience that cannot be bought with any amount of money.
"The Professional"
This is the project which is I involved in. The aims to encourage people to share their skills, not just their time. This project is basically looking for people with a particular skill or working life experience that can be shared with others. Whether you are a competent cook, a brilliant bookkeeper, a fun-loving fundraiser or a diligent director you may have skills your community needs.
This one is the information about The Professional which is took from its website.
Many organisations, charities and individuals need skilled help but don't know where to find it. Many volunteers know how to give time but haven't really thought about unlocking their skills and volunteering those too.
The Professionals aims to do just that. CSV is working with organisations to determine what help they need and can use and will then find a volunteer who can fill the gap. CSV has a large network of grassroots contacts as well as a long-standing partnership with BBC local radio. We are raising the profile of volunteering through sharing skills in our local communities as well as working with other organisations in the field. We believe everyone has a skill they can share and we are helping them find the right outlet for them.
CSV is also using its knowledge of volunteering in every setting to prepare a pack for people coming up to retirement to encourage them to take up volunteering and use their transferable work skills for the good of voluntary groups and organisations.
Professionals – everyone has skills that you've learnt through work or your hobbies. We can help match your skills with people in your local community who really need that skill.
So guys, don't let your skills go to waste!!

Manchester The City of Football
Everybody knows that Manchester is well-known with its sport clubs include the Premier League football teams, Manchester City and Manchester United. If you heard this city perhaps you suddenly imagine about football.FYI,Manchester City's ground is the City of Manchester Stadium (near 48,000 capacity); its former ground, Maine Road was demolished. Manchester United's Old Trafford ground, the largest club football ground in the United Kingdom, with a capacity of 76,000, is in the borough of Trafford just outside the city. It is the only club football ground in England to have hosted the UEFA Champions League Final, in 2003. It is also the venue of the Super League Grand Final in rugby league.
Unfortunately, that popularity of Manchester was not my reason why I've spent my time almost two months in this city. It's just because I want to take internship program here! There are many choice of great internship places here. As I know from wikipedia.org as well the city is notable for its culture, music scene, scientific and engineering output, media links and sporting connections. In addition, Manchester is served by two universities, including the largest single-site university in the UK, and has one of the country's largest urban economies. Manchester is also the third-most visited city in the UK by foreign visitors, after London and Edinburgh, and the most visited in England outside London.
So, I'm not too excited about Manchester as the city of football but I can truly enjoy it for my new experience and knowledge in my free time of internship. Moreover, I've made my friends and all the fans of Man.Utd and Man.city envy!Hahahaa
Internship Program in The UK
Hello World !
Welcome to the story of my wonderful experience while doing my internship program in THE UNITED KINGDOM!
'Make hay while the sunshines' is my favorite quotes, I'll take every opportunity in front of my eyes. This internship program is a great chance for me to gain experience in a particular field. Beside that I want to use an internship to determine my interest in a particular career, create a network of contacts, and gain my university credit. As an international students I also seek to get understanding about how work is conducted in the English-speaking world and to experience cultural diversity. It's absolutely an amazing chance for me to improve my English skill during my internship program! Therefore,United Kingdom has been becoming my best destination. I want to learn English in which it was born and try to speak English with British accent (it's not easy,is it?).FYI, English began its development in Great Britain and was spread across the globe through the Commonwealth nations. It became so influential across the Commonwealth that countries adopted English above and beyond their own languages.
